Current Situation

The Czech Republic is located in Central Europe, the Czech Republic is bordered by Poland, Germany, Slovakia and Austria. The Czech Republic's economy is one of the best for the ex-communist eastern bloc, since joining the European Union in 2004 foreign investment and exports have increased.

(2013) The Czech Republic like the rest of the European Union is currently in the midst of a new recession.

(2014) Elections in 2013 brought a new government for the Czech Republic. The economy of the Czech Republic continued to contract but should be set to return to growth in 2014.
