Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin was born in Paris, France, in 1699. Jean-Baptiste-Simeon Chardin was famous for the still-life paintings that he produced. His paintings we're so good that he graduated from the French Academy early because some of his earlier works were mistaken as diploma pieces.
