Biography:


Count Bernard VII of Armagnac, became Count of Armagnac in 1391 when his older brother John III died. After Louis I de Valois was murdered by the Burgundian faction, Bernard became the main opposition and his faction became known as the Armagnacs. He was loyal to the Dauphin until he was killed in 1418 when Paris fell to the Burgundians.
