Louis I de Valois was Charles VI's younger brother and played an important role in his regency via his disputes with Charles VI's uncles, John Duke of Berry and Duke Charles the Bold of Burgundy also Charles' son John the Fearless. Louis' personality made him extremely unpopular in France, and John the Fearless used this to his advantage, and had Louis murdered.
