Current Situation

Montenegro is located in South Eastern Europe. Montenegro is bordered by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo and Serbia. Montenegro's economy was crippled during the Yugoslav Wars in the 1990's, and it has blamed much of its inability to recover on Serbia. Since independence in 2006, the economy has started a recovery and the tourism sector is leading the way and will become the biggest sector in Montenegro.

(2014) Montenegro's economy returned to growth in 2013, although future growth is ultimately tied to the health of the eurozone economies.
